About the Author This book is joint effort of Bipan Chandra, Dr. Mridula Mukherjee, Aditya Mukherjee, Sucheta Mahajan and K N Panikkar. Bipan Chandra is a historian and is an expert in economics and political history. Dr. Mridula Mukherjee works at JNU in Centre for Historical Studies and is an awarded author. Aditya Mukherjee is author of other books also like: Imperialism, Nationalism and The Making Of The Indian Capitalist Class, and Selected Works of Jawaharlal Nehru. Sucheta Mahajan has also penned down her knowledge and skills in Independence and Partition and RSS, School Texts and The Murder Of Mahatma Gandhi. K N Panikkar has taught in both reputed universities: Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University.
